I hope this will develop into a bigger project. These images were taken during my first experience of a burlesque breakout cabaret, where I sought to capture the wild, unpredictable energy of the night.

The performers, each attempting to break into the cabaret scene, presented a varied and unconventional mix of acts, challenging expectations while expressing themselves on stage.

This work focuses on the vulnerability of these performers, documenting the risks they take and the moments where confidence and fragility coexist. It aims to record the individuality and courage of these performers who appeared, to me, to be carving out a space for themselves not just in the cabaret world also in life.
